DIY: Hand Warmers

Anytime I warm up my neck cozy, B wants to use it. It is pretty cozy. :) So when I saw this tutorial, I knew I had to make them for B.

I made mine a little larger than the linked tutorial. I cut out four squares that measured 3.25 inches. Then, I embroidered the blue side with an X and an O and the yellow side with a heart. Very easy! Next, I pinned the fabric pieces together and sewed them, leaving an opening large enough for a funnel opening (this will vary based on the diameter of the funnel you use) to easily pour in the flax seed. Once the hand warmer is filled, carefully sew up the opening of the squares with your sewing machine.

Heat for 20-30 seconds in your microwave, being sure to check their temperature before giving them to children. :)

B was so excited to have a smaller pair that were perfect for those tiny little hands. B asks to heat them regularly throughout the day, it's pretty sweet.

Have you made any warmers for yourself? These are s simply to sew up in a hurry and are perfect for a beginner level sewing project!
